Follow Rosie’s candid personal essay on living with OCD, exploring compulsions, control, perfectionism, and the quiet question that changed everything: “Why do you do that?”
Rosie Phillips
Rosie Phillips is a recent college graduate, freelance writer, and Elementary School Special Education Paraprofessional. She currently lives in her hometown of Los Angeles, California- but notoriously can’t stay in any one place for a prolonged amount of time…so her next relocation will be coming shortly. From a brief stint living in New York City to studying a semester of college in Madison, Wisconsin, Rosie has a deep love for traveling and experiencing new people, places, and things. She is passionate about sharing her struggle with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder in hopes that her story can help others who find themselves in the chokehold of OCD to make their great escape. Rosie is looking forward to beginning Law School at New England Law in Boston this fall, where she was recently accepted on a full-ride scholarship. She hopes to advocate for children such as herself who suffer from mental or physical health struggles and often do not receive adequate or appropriate treatment.
