Hannah Green has always felt compelled to count. She counts her steps, the clicks of her turn signal, the number of times a ball bounces while playing a game. And this was all innocent and unproblematic, until it wasn’t.
Hannah Green
Hannah Green is diagnosed with both OCD and Bipolar II, but is in a place in her healing journey where life feels quite normal (if not boring), and she likes it that way. She was diagnosed with depression in her early teens and struggled immensely until her mid-twenties. It wasn’t until several years later when she started graduate school that her quirks and eccentricities revealed themselves to be highly problematic. Thus began a decade of struggling to reconcile who she was with who she wanted to be while battling severe and persistent symptoms that left her all but a recluse. Amidst this, she immigrated to the US from South Africa and met her beautiful wife who she adores.
